Kohei Kamada (Chinese characters: 鎌田 (Kamada) 耕平 (Kohei))

Research interests: Particle cosmology

After obtaining the Ph.D at University of Tokyo in 2011, I had postdoc experiences at Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) from 2011 to 2013, at Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) from 2013 to 2015 (as a JSPS fellow for research abroad), at Arizona State University from 2015 to 2017, and at the Center for Theoretical Physics of the Universe (CTPU), Institute for Basic Science (IBS) from 2017 to 2018. I was a research associate/assistant professor at Reserach Center for the Early Universe (RESCEU), Universe of Tokyo from 2018 to 2023 before joining HIAS-UCAS as a distinguished researcher in 2023. My research expertise lies in the intersection of the early Universe cosmology, particle physics, and quantum field theory. I am mostly interested in exploring the chiral effect in cosmology, namely, inflation, baryogenesis, cosmological magnetic fields, and gravitational waves.
