Recently, 36 postdoctoral fellows, including He Weiguo, recruited by the Postdoctoral Research Station of the Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study (HIAS), UCAS, held a research proposal meeting in Yunyi Campus Area. According to the principle of similar majors, the research proposal meeting was carried out by dividing 7 schools into 3 groups. The expert panel for each group was composed of HIAS experts and external experts in the same field. Wang Jianyu, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAC) and President of HIAS, attended the meeting via video link, and Ma Lisong, Secretary of the Party Committee, attended the meeting on the spot.

At the research proposal meeting, the postdoctoral fellows first introduced the research background of their projects and the current situation of research at home and abroad, and then reported in detail the purpose, direction, content, and schedule of their postdoctoral research projects. The expert panel listened to the research proposal, demonstrated the feasibility, necessity and innovation of the research projects, and put forward constructive opinions and suggestions. Peer experts from Westlake University, Zhejiang University and other institutions said that the postdoctoral fellows participating in the research proposal had a clear background and significance for their research projects, and the research plans were feasible and met high academic standards. After carefully listening to and recording the guidance of the experts, the postdoctoral fellows said that they were greatly inspired and guided, which could further enhance their confidence in carrying out academic research. After a comprehensive review, all expert panels unanimously approved the research proposal of 36 postdoctoral fellows.

Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study (HIAS), UCASwas awarded the "Zhejiang Postdoctoral Research Station" in October 2019. Competitive salary
HIAS provides new postdoctoral fellows with a salary ofnot less than RMB 300,000/year (including special subsidies in Hangzhou), and payssocial insurance and housing fund in full in accordance with theLabor Law andLabor Contract Law of the People's Republic of China. In addition,a certain performance rewardwill be given according to their work performance, such as obtaining the support of the "National Postdoctoral Program for Innovative Talent", and the remuneration will be discussed separately.According to the relevant talent policies of Hangzhou,postdoctoral fellows can apply for a one-time special subsidy of RMB 400,000 to work in Hangzhou after leaving the research station.
