Jiang Weidong, male, is a research fellow. Graduating from the Department of Archaeology of Peking University in 1989, he is now a member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Hangzhou Liangzhu Site Management District, former Director and Research Curator of Liangzhu Museum, and Vice President of Zhejiang Museums Association. He has long been engaged in the archaeological excavation and research of prehistoric sites in northern Zhejiang, specializing in the research of the Liangzhu culture. He has published Sacredness and Refinement and The Story of Jade, edited monographs such as Xindili and Liangzhu Culture: Empirical Evidence of Civilization, and published more than 50 papers. He is an important participant and witness of the archaeological research, conservation, application to the world heritage list, and park construction of the Liangzhu site.
