Jiang Guibin, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), and Dean of the School of Environment, Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study, UCAS, is Deputy Director of the Committee of Population, Resources and Environment of the 13th CPPCC National Committee, President of China Association for Instrumental Analysis, and Associate Editor of Environmental Science and Technology (ES&T). He has long been engaged in environmental science and toxicology, and established the State Key Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology. He is currently the chief scientist of the strategic priority research program (category B) "Health Effects of Environmental Pollution" of CAS, and leader of the expert group of the major research program "The Toxicology and Health Effects of Atmospheric Fine Particles" and principal investigator of a major national research instrument development program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, leading the research of environmental pollution and health in China.

He has successively won the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Young Scientist Award of CAS, Changjiang Scholar Achievement Award, Agilent Thought Leader Award, Outstanding Achievement Award of CAS, National Award for Excellence in Innovation, and American Chemical Society Award for Creative Advances in Environmental Science & Technology, and has been awarded the second prize of the State Natural Science Award for three times.
