Cao Lei, a research fellow at the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and doctoral supervisor, has long been committed to wetland and biodiversity research and conservation and the research of movement ecology. In recent years, she has published more than 80 papers and works in international famous journals such as Nature, Nature Communications, and Current Biology. She was invited to give plenary report at the 26th International Ornithological Congress in 2014, and give Alfred Newton Lecture at the British Ornithologists' Union 2019 Annual Conference.
