Dr. Jiang is an expert in analytical chemistry and environmental chemistry, serving as the associate editor for the journalES & Tof the American Chemical Society. His research fields involve chemical morphology, environmental toxicology and health, which promote the research on persistent toxic pollutants in China and open up new academic directions in the discovery and toxicology of new environmental pollutants. He is the chief scientist of the “health effects of environmental pollution”, a major CAS strategic pilot project of category B, and the head of the expert group on “toxicological and health effects of fine particles in the atmosphere,” a major research plan bytheNational Natural Science Foundation of China. He was awarded the National Outstanding Youth Foundation Prize, the Young Scientist Award of the CAS, the Achievement Award of Yangtze Scholars, the Outstanding Achievement Award of the CAS and the National Innovation Pioneer Award. On two separate occasions, he won second prize intheNational Natural Science competition as the first author.
