Dr. Cai received a doctorate degree from Fudan University in 1995. He was in postdoctoral research in the Institute of Theoretical Physics,ChineseAcademy of Sciences, Seoul National University and Osaka University before joining the Institute of Theoretical Physics, CAS in June 2000. He is the chief scientist of “gravitational wave-related physics research”, a major project of National Natural Science Foundation of China and head of an innovation group project named “particle physics and cosmology”. His main study fields are gravitation theory and cosmology. He has published more than 240 papers and has been cited more than 12,000 times. He has won the second prize of the National Natural Science Award and the Global Highly Cited Scientist Award from Thomson Reuters.
