Dr. Ma’s research interests include the total synthesis and structural activity relationships of complex natural products with important physiological activities, discovery of specific targets such as G-protein coupled receptors, protein kinases, proteolytic enzymes, small molecular regulators during apoptosis, the development of organic synthesis methodology and its application in the synthesis of bioactive molecules. He has published more than 230 papers inJ. Am. Chem. Soc.,Angew.as well asChem. Int. Ed.and other respected journals, being cited by global counterparts more than 11,000 times. He received 2016 N. C. Yang Lecturer Award, 2018 Arthur C. Cope Scholars Award from theAmerican Chemical Society, the Physical Science Award in the 2018 Future Science Awards and other domestic and international honors for research results.
