Delegations of CAS Shanghai Branch and Other Research Institutes Visit HIAS, UCAS for Investigation

On the morning of November 9, delegations of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Shanghai Branch and other research institutes visited the Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study (HIAS), UCAS for investigation, and Zheng Chonghui, Executive Vice President of HIAS, attended the seminar.

Zheng Chonghui extended his welcome to the leaders and guests attending the seminar. After giving a brief introduction to the construction of HIAS, he pointed out that the development of HIAS benefits from this innovative era, the wonderful city of Hangzhou, the strong support and guarantee of the CAS Shanghai Branch and UCAS, as well as the entrepreneurial team with passion and aspiration. Zheng Chonghui expressed his heartfelt thanks to all the guests who care about the development of HIAS. He said that HIAS is still in its infancy and its work in all aspects needs further improvement. He hoped all guests could give advice and valuable suggestions on the development of HIAS.

The two sides carried out extensive exchanges and in-depth discussions on the integration of science and education. CAS Shanghai Branch and other research institutes affirmed HIAS's current achievements and put forward valuable comments and suggestions in combination with the development experience and advantages of HIAS. They hoped to exchange and cooperate with HIAS in teaching resources and other aspects to promote shared development.

The investigation team paid a field visit to the teaching buildings, student dormitories and canteens of HIAS.

Heads of relevant departments of HIAS, such as the General Office of Party and Administration Affairs, Academic Affairs Department, Scientific Research Department, Student Affairs Office, Infrastructure Office, and School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, attended the seminar.
