On the morning of March 16, Zheng Chonghui, Executive Vice President of the Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study (HIAS), UCAS, led a delegation from the Key Laboratory of Systems Health Science of Zhejiang Province (Cultivation), Key Laboratory of Gravitational Wave Precision Measurement of Zhejiang Province(Cultivation) and Scientific Research and Platform Management Department to visit Hangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau. Zhou Yang, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group of Hangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Lou Liqun, Chief Engineer, and heads of relevant divisions and offices attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Zheng Chonghui first thanked Hangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau for its concern and support for HIAS and introduced in detail the construction progress and achievements of HIAS. He pointed out that 2021 is the first year for HIAS to implement the "14th Five-Year Plan" and the key year for HIAS to comprehensively carry out the construction of new teaching and research institutions. This year, HIAS will continue to deeply implement the "One Core and Two Wings" development strategy, face the development orientation of Hangzhou, and gather momentum to empower Hangzhou to accelerate the establishment of a comprehensive national science center, a national next-generation artificial intelligence innovation and development pilot zone and a national high-level innovation platform. Research Fellow Wu Jiarui, Director of Key Laboratory of Systems Health Science of Zhejiang Province (Cultivation), and Research Fellow Luo Ziren, Deputy Director of Key Laboratory of Gravitational Wave Precision Measurement of Zhejiang Province(Cultivation), reported the development planning and construction progress of the laboratory, respectively.
After listening to the work report of HIAS, Zhou Yang highly affirmed the construction achievements of HIAS and proposed that on the one hand, HIAS should give full play to its advantages, gather the scientific research strength of relevant institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and help Hangzhou build a "comprehensive national science center".; On the other hand, Hangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau will also actively speak for HIAS, strive for support from all parties, coordinate and solve the bottlenecks and problems that restrict the rapid development of HIAS, and make joint efforts to create an innovative environment to promote the high-quality development of HIAS.
