The 6th China Innovation Challenge (Zhejiang) & Biopharmaceutical Industry Live Competition of 2021 Zhejiang Technology Demand Competition was held in Zhuji on October 28. Many experts, scholars and industry leaders in the field of biomedicine participated in the competition. After evaluation by experts,Dr. Yan Chengsong from Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study (HIAS), UCAS stood out among the nine excellent teams and won the first prize.

Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, CAS in 2019;
Postdoctoral fellow of Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, CAS from 2019 to 2021;
Postdoctoral fellow of Prof. Xu Chenqi's lab of the School of Life and Health Sciences, HIAS, UCAS since 2021.

Guided by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and co-organized by the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of MOST and Science Technology Department of Zhejiang Province, the 6th China Innovation Challenge (CIC) is a national competition to promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements with demand as the core. CIC focuses on the construction of "Internet +", Life & Health, and new materials hubs in Zhejiang and of high ground of "carbon peak & carbon neutral" technology. In order to meet the technical needs, it solicits solutions from the society and selects the best one through the ways of "challenge".
CIC can promote the connection between innovation and creation and market demand, improve the support system of science and technology plans and the value discovery mechanism of scientific and technological achievements, promote cross-border innovation through interdisciplinary activities, and input original scientific and technological achievements for enterprise innovation. It also aims to explore a new demand-oriented mechanism for the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, form a new pattern of innovation and entrepreneurship with the participation of all and challenge of all, and provide new impetus for innovation-driven development.
