TheList of Leading Innovation and Entrepreneurship Teams in Hangzhou in 2020 has been launched.Thewide-spectrum and high-sensitivity very long wave infrared detection technology project andthe project of key R&D technologies and varieties for carbohydrate-based drugs of Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study (HIAS), UCAS, were selected into the list, with the number of selected projects rankedfirst among all application units in Hangzhou.

Hangzhou's leading innovation teams are the top scientific research group that can make major breakthroughs in pioneering basic research and groundbreaking and original innovations. Selecting into the list proves HIAS’s advantages in physical information, lives and health, and intelligent technology.

HIAS’s selected projects

01

The wide-spectrum and high-sensitivity very long wave infrared detection technology project

Dai Ning, head of the wide-spectrum and high-sensitivity very long wave infrared detection technology project, is executive director of the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering of HIAS, winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, chief scientist of the major projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and chief scientist of the "National Program on Key Basic Research Project (973 Program)"; this project aims to make breakthroughs in the key technologies of the core components of astronomical-level very long wave infrared detection, and fill the gap in China's space astronomical detection.

02

The project of key R&D technologies and varieties for carbohydrate-based drugs

The core members of the project of key R&D technologies and varieties for carbohydrate-based drugs come from HIAS. Professor Huang Wei, head of the project, is the executive director of the School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology of HIAS and an expert in the field of carbohydrate-based drugs; the members include professor Zhou Yu and research associate Zhou Shengbin, who have rich experience and outstanding achievements in drug R&D andenzyme catalysis. The project aims at developing the cutting-edge technologies of carbohydrate-based drugs, and applying them to the R&D of carbohydrate-based new drugs, such as glycoengineered antibody drugs, glycopeptide antibiotics, and carbohydrate lymphatic tracers.
