
Guo Zongkuan, a professor and doctoral supervisor, is a research fellow at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is Vice Dean and a double-employed professor of the School of Fundamental Physics and Mathematical Sciences of Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study, UCAS.
He graduated from Zhengzhou University in 1999.
In 2005, he received his doctorate from the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
From 2005 to 2006, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
From 2006 to 2011, he received funding from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation of Germany, and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Kindai University and Bielefeld University.
In 2011, he worked at the Institute of Theoretical Physics.
His research interests include gravitational theory and cosmology, and he is mainly engaged in the research of gravitational wave physics, early cosmic physics, computational cosmology, etc. He has published 72 papers in academic journals such asPhys. Rev. D., Phys. Rev. Lett., Nature Astronomy, etc., which have been cited more than 3,900 times. Among them, 11 papers have been cited more than 100 times, and one of them has been cited more than 500 times. In 2009, the paper was selected as a highly cited paper in the field of astrophysics and phenomenology released by SLAC of the United States, and in 2010, it was selected as a highly cited paper in the field of general relativity and quantum universe released by SLAC. From 2014 to 2020, he was selected into the list of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers released by Elsevier for seven consecutive years. He is Chief Scientist of the project "Gravitational Wave Cosmology Wave Source Physics Research" supported by the National Key R&D Program of China.
