Han Wenbiao

Han Wenbiao is a research fellow at the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a professor at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is a double-employed professor and a doctoral supervisor at the School of Fundamental Physics and Mathematical Sciences of Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study, UCAS.

He is the head of the Basic Astronomy Research Group of Gravitational Wave and Relativity at Shanghai Astronomical Observatory. He has been engaged in orbital dynamics and gravitational wave simulation of extreme mass ratio systems for a long time, and the proposed EOB-Teukolsky numerical framework has been widely used in extreme mass ratio systems. He has published more than 40 SCI papers and two monographs.

In 2014, he was selected as a member of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and served as Vice President of the Shanghai Branch and Deputy Secretary General of the Mathematical Sciences Branch. He is currently Vice Chairman of the Committee on the List of Paper Authors of the KAGRA Gravitational Wave Detection Cooperation Group.
