Zhou Yeling

Zhou Yeling is an associate research fellow at the School of Fundamental Physics and Mathematical Sciences of Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study, UCAS.

September 2006-July 2010: He studied at the School of Physical Science and Technology, Lanzhou University for a bachelor's degree in Theoretical Physics.

September 2010-July 2015: He studied at the Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences for a Ph.D. degree in Theoretical Physics.

September 2015-September 2018: He was a postdoctoral research assistant at the Institute for Particle Physics Phenomenology, Durham University.

October 2018-May 2021: He worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Southampton.

June 2021-Present: He is an assistant professor at the Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study, UCAS.

His main research fields are neutrino physics and particle cosmology, including neutrino mass and flavor mixing, flavor symmetry, neutrino new physics phenomenology, baryon and lepton generation mechanism, particle physics origin of gravitational waves, dark matter and circular polarization, etc.

He has published 40 academic papers inJHEP,Phys. Rev. D.,Phys. Rev. Lett.and other journals. His representative work includes:

1. He is the first in the world to propose the lepton generation mechanism through cosmological phase transition;

2. He pointed out and quantitatively analyzed the intrinsic connection between proton decay and gravitational waves in the grand unified theory;

3. He constructed multiple modular symmetries as the framework of the origin of flavor mixing;

4. He first studied Δ (48) flavor symmetry after neutrino oscillation was confirmed.
