Chen Jianxin
He is a research fellow and doctoral supervisor
From 1995 to 2000, he worked for the State Key Laboratory of Functional Materials for Informatics, Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and received a State Science and Technology Advancement Award and several CAS Science and Technology Progress Awards. In 2000, he went to the Bell Labs headquarters to learn from Alfred Y. Cho, known as the "Father" of the molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) method. In 2002, he was promoted to Senior Research Fellow at Bell Labs, taking charge of the research and development of solid-state source molecular beam epitaxy and metal-organic molecular beam epitaxy technologies. He has made a number of world-class research achievements in III-V compound optoelectronic devices and published more than 80 papers published in high-level international journals. His papers have been cited nearly 1,000 times in total, and one of them has been cited up to 180 times.
In 2009, he returned to China to work for the Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, where he led his team to develop China's first mid-wave and long-wave Type II superlattice infrared focal plane device.
