Chen Fansheng

Chen Fansheng, male, is a research fellow and doctoral supervisor of the Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), member of the Jiusan Society, member of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of CAS, and member of the Standing Committee of the Fourth Youth Federation of CAS. He was funded by the Young Top-notch Talent Plan of the Ten Thousand Talents Program launched by the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the National Defense Science and Technology Excellent Young Talent Fund Program. He received his bachelor's degree in Optoelectronic Information Engineering from Shandong University in 2002 and his doctor's degree in Physical Electronics from the Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2007. He has presided over a total of 12 projects, including those supported by the National Defense Innovation Fund of CAS, major innovation and equipment pre-research projects of CAS, the 863 Program-supported projects, national major model projects, and the Phase-II Pilot Project A of CAS. He has published 22 SCI papers in IEEE TGRS and other academic journals. He was also awarded the First Prize of the 2019 State Technological Innovation Award (as the second contributor), the First Prize of the 2018 PLA Science and Technology Advancements Award (as the second contributor), and the 2018 CAS Distinguished Scientific Achievement Award (Outstanding Contributor Title). Currently, he is Designer-in-charge of the Infrared Staring Camera for a major model project and Deputy Designer-in-charge of the CASEarth Satellite of Digital Earth Project. He is also an expert at the Strategy and Innovation Bureaus of the Science and Technology Commission (STC) of the Central Military Commission (CMC).

His main research interests are space high-time-sensitive photoelectric detection technology, intelligent calibration technology and intelligent detection and identification technology based on the autonomous system. He has been dedicated to the research and development of space infrared staring detection instruments, and conducted in-depth research on the development of high spatial and temporal resolution photoelectric payloads and data processing. He has participated in innovative research projects emphasizing close connections with applications.
