Shao Jianda

He is a research fellow and doctoral supervisor who has been researching the high-performance laser thin film technology and optical components' resistance against laser damage.

He is the leader of the Optical Components Research Group for a national major special project, a member of the International Organizing Committee of the SPIE Laser Damage Conference, and Chair of the Pacific Rim Laser Damage: Optical Materials for High Power Lasers Symposium. He also serves as Chairman of the Optical Materials Technology Committee of the Chinese Optical Society, an expert bank member of the Advanced Manufacturing Professional Group under the Equipment Development Department, and an expert of the Organic and Inorganic Expert Group of the Commission for Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense.

He has published more than 260 scientific and technical papers, and has won the Second Prize of State Technological Innovation Award, the Second Prize of PLA Science and Technology Advancements Award, and the Second Prize of CAS Science and Technology Progress Award.
