Shao Yuchuan

Shao Yuchuan, male, born in Huangshan, Anhui Province in 1987, is a research fellow and doctoral supervisor. He graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China with a bachelor's degree in Condensed Matter Physics in 2009, from the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (SIOM), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) with a master's degree in 2012, and from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, the USA with a doctor's degree in 2016.

He has long been researching perovskite solar cells and X-ray detectors, and his research interests are mainly the design, synthesis and characterization of new and high-performance semiconductor optoelectronic materials, the preparation of and mechanism research on new optoelectronic devices, and the research and development of flexible electronic devices and wearable devices.

Since 2014, he has published more than 40 papers in such academic journals asScience, Nature Energy, Nature Materials,andNature Communicationsin the name of the first author or co-first author. His papers have been cited more than 10,000 times on Google Scholar and many were selected as important articles in the perovskite field byNature. He has been included in the Recruitment Program of Global Experts, and granted the Special Excellence Award funded by the National Scholarship for Outstanding Self-Funded Chinese Students Studying Overseas and the Gold Prize funded by the Scholarship of the Chinese Materials Research Society.
