
Zhu Meiping, female, born in Hai'an, Jiangsu Province in 1982, is a research fellow and doctoral supervisor. She graduated from the Department of Optoelectronic Information Engineering, Zhejiang University in 2003, and received her master's and doctor's degrees from the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (SIOM), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 2006 and 2012 respectively.
She has long been researching laser thin film preparation technology, with several first prizes of international competitions for her achievement in the damage threshold for laser thin films. Her research interests include ultraviolet to near-infrared high-power laser thin film technology, composite thin film material preparation and performance characterization technology, laser and thin film interaction mechanisms, and thin film environmental stability enhancement technology.
She has published more than 70 papers and won such awards as the Second Prize of State Technological Invention Award, the First Prize of Shanghai Technological Invention Award, the First Prize of Anhui Science and Technology Award, the China Patent Excellence Award, and the Shanghai Award for Outstanding Female Innovators. She was selected as a Young Top-notch Talent of the national Ten Thousand Talents Program, an excellent member of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of CAS, a Shanghai Outstanding Female Innovator and a Shanghai Young Top⁃notch Talent. She was also evaluated as the Shanghai March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetter and the Shanghai Youth May 4th Medal Model and granted the Shanghai Science and Technology System Youth May 4th Medal.
