
Wang Peng graduated from the Department of Applied Chemistry of Tianjin University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 2013, he graduated from the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, with a doctorate, and then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Scripps Research Institute in the United States. At the end of 2017, he joined the State Key Laboratory of Organometallic Chemistry, Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences as a research fellow and project leader. His research fields involve transition metal catalysis and main group element chemistry. Up to now, he has published 28 papers in international authoritative academic journals such asNature, JACS, Angew, Org. Lett., Chem. Commun., Eur. Chem. J., etc., which have been cited more than 1,000 times. He has won the Thieme Chemistry Journal Award (2020) and other awards, and was funded by the Shanghai Rising-Star Program in 2020.
