Dong Xianlin

Dong Xianlin graduated from the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) with a D.E. degree in 1992, and did collaborative research at the Department of Applied Physics, University of Tsukuba, Japan in 1996. He has long been researching information functional materials and devices, which mainly cover high-performance piezoelectric ceramic materials and devices, ferroelectric/antiferroelectric ceramic materials, pyroelectric ceramic materials, high energy storage dielectric materials and multilayer devices, and oxide functional films. He has chaired more than 40 research tasks at the national, CAS and Shanghai municipal levels, including the projects funded by the Key Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the 973 Program and the 863 Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, and the National Defense 973 Program. A variety of key functional materials developed under his leadership have been practically applied in various model tasks and the aerospace, medical, oil exploration and other fields in China, meeting the needs of the national major projects. He has won the first prize of Shanghai Technological Invention Award, the Young Scientist Award of CAS, the titles of Shanghai Outstanding Academic Leader and Top 10 Young Outstanding Persons in Science and Technology in Shanghai, and the Shanghai May Day Labor Medal. He also enjoys the special government allowance granted by the State Council.He has published more than 300 SCI papers inNat. Comm., Sci. Adv., J. Mater. Chem. A, APLand other journals, with more than 60 authorized patents.
