Tong Minghan graduated from Shanghai Second Medical University (now Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine) in 2000 with a Ph.D. degree. From February 2001 to January 2004, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, and as a postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University from February 2004 and as a research assistant professor from January 2005. From 2009 to 2013, he worked at Washington State University in the United States as Research Assistant Professor and then Research Associate Professor. He is now a research fellow and principal investigator at Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
