
In 2004, Xu Chenqi graduated from the Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology (SIBCB), Chinese Academy of Sciences with a Doctor of Science degree. In 2004, he went to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute of Harvard Medical School to engage in immunology research, and successively served as a postdoctoral fellow (sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation) and instructor. In November 2009, he returned to work in SIBCB as a research fellow and principal investigator. Now he is Assistant Director of SIBCB, Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Molecular Biology, and Deputy Secretary General of the Chinese Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He has been selected into the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the Young and Middle-Aged Leading Talents in Science and Technology Innovation by the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Outstanding Academic Leader Program of Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality. His research achievements were included in the Top 10 Scientific Advances in China and Top 10 Advances in Life sciences in China. He also won the Tan Jiazhen Life Science Innovation Award, VCANBIO Award For Biosciences and Medicine, National Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker, Shanghai Youth Talents in Science and Technology, and so on.
