Wu Jiarui
Wu received his Ph.D. degree from ETH Zurich, Switzerland in 1994. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of theJournal of Molecular Cell Biology, Deputy Editor-in-Chief ofBMC Systems BiologyandFrontiers in Systems Physiology, and Chairman of the Committee on Molecular Systems Biology of the Chinese Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
In 1998, he won the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and was selected as a candidate for the National High-level Personnel of Special Support Program in 2009. He served as Deputy Head of the expert group of the "Protein Research" major scientific research program by Ministry of Science and Technology and Member of the 3rd and 4th Expert Advisory Committee of the Department of Life Sciences, National Natural Science Foundation of China. He is now a member of the 7th Expert Advisory Committee of the Department of Chemical Science, National Natural Science Foundation of China. He mainly uses the systems biology approach to study the molecular mechanism of the occurrence and development of major chronic diseases such as diabetes and cancer at the CAS Key Laboratory of Systems Biology. So far, he has published more than 100 research papers in international academic journals.
