Winner of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Research Fellow, and Doctoral Supervisor
Hu Youhong is mainly engaged in new methods and technologies for the synthesis of natural products and drug-like skeletons and the construction of high-quality and diverse small molecule libraries, the discovery and optimization of new active compounds and the development of drug candidates, the design and synthesis of small molecule probes and their application in new drug development. He designed various drugs with different dominant skeletons, optimized the structure of active compounds, and completely investigated the relationship between the structure of the active compound and its activity and druggability.
He now has two anti-tumor small molecule compounds under joint development with enterprises. He has published more than 70 SCI papers in international academic journals such asAngew. Chem.,J. Am. Chem. Soc.,Chem. Sci.,J. Med. Chem.,Org. Lett., and is the corresponding author of more than 60 of them. He has applied for 32 patents and is the first inventor of 25 of them. In addition, 2 of them have applied for PCT and been authorized by many countries, and 12 of them have been authorized by China. He has also been selected as a candidate for the Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program.
