Li Jia

Winner of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Research Fellow, and Doctoral Supervisor

In China, Li Jia has systematically established a standardized technical system of multi-target integration, multi-function screening and multi-level efficacy evaluation for the treatment of complex metabolic diseases such as diabetes, obesity, fibrosis and hematologic tumors in line with international standards, as well as a multi-target integrated screening platform targeting enzyme molecular families. Fifteen drug candidates developed by him have entered preclinical studies, among which 6 Class I drug candidates have achieved transfer and transformation, and 2 Class I drug candidates have entered clinical studies. He has published more than 300 SCI papers inAdv. Mate.,Diabetes,Diabetologia,J. Biol. Chem.,J. Am. Chem. Soc., with more than 6,800 citations. He has more than 70 authorized patents.

He won the National Science and Technology Progress Award (second prize), Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (first prize), Science and Technology Progress Award of Chinese Pharmaceutical Association (second prize), Shanghai Pharmaceutical Science and Technology Award (first prize), and the 12th China Youth Science and Technology Award. With the title of Top Ten Outstanding Young Scientist of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, he is an expert enjoying special government allowances from the State Council. He is a Leading Talent in Scientific and Technological Innovation of the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, as well as a candidate for the New Century Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talents Project.
