Wu Beili
Winner of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Research Fellow, and Doctoral Supervisor
Wu Beili has been devoted to the structural biology of macromolecular proteins for a long time. She studies the structure-function relationship of protein molecules by determining their high-resolution three-dimensional structures. She focuses on the structural and functional studies of the G protein-coupled receptor, an important drug target, in order to reveal the specific recognition, transduction and regulation mechanisms of different G protein-coupled receptors for extracellular signalling molecules, and provide clues and basis for the development of targeted drugs. In recent years, she has published more than 30 SCI papers, 10 of which were published in the international top academic journals such asNature,ScienceandCell.
She has been awarded the Excellent Young Scientists Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Leading Talent in Scientific and Technological Innovation and Young Top-notch Talent of the national Ten Thousand Talents Program. She has received many awards, including the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Prize for Scientific and Technological Innovation, Tan Kah Kee Young Scientist Award, China Young Female Scientist Award, and Tan Jiazhen Life Science Innovation Award.
