
Zhang Le, a professor with a Ph.D. degree, is Associate Dean of the College of Computer Science (Software), Sichuan University. He has published more than 50 SCI academic papers and 3 academic monographs, with multiple authorized national invention patents.He received his bachelor's degree from the School of Computer Science & Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology, and then obtained his master's and doctoral degrees from Louisiana Tech University in the USA. He did his postdoctoral research at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and was an assistant professor at Michigan Technological University and associate professor at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.His current work is centered on providing real-time simulation and data mining techniques for bioinformatics research using computer and mathematical computing knowledge, and building, analyzing and optimizing relevant models through experimental data. His current positions include: Vice Chairman of ACM SIGBIO China; Vice President of the Chongqing Society of Bioinformatics; Member of the Bioinformatics Technical Committee, China Computer Federation; Member of the Expert Committee for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, Chinese Society of Biotechnology; Standing Member of the Bioinformatics and Artificial Life Committee, Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence; Member of the Big Data Technical Committee, China Computer Federation; and Member of the Big Data Technical Committee, Genetics Society of China. He was granted many awards, like the third prize of Chongqing Science and Technology Progress Award and the second prize of Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Award, as the first contributor.
