
Zhang Shihua is aresearch fellow at the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Random Complex Structures and Data Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and professor at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.He is mainly engaged in the optimization and statistical work and crossover research on machine learning and bioinformatics. His main academic results have been published inAdvanced Science, Nature Communications, Nucleic Acids Research, Bioinformatics, IEEE TPAIM, IEEE TKDE, IEEE TFS, AoASand other journals.He currently serves as an editorial board member ofBMC Genomicsand other journals.He was a winner of the China Youth Science and Technology Award, recipient of the Excellent Young Scientists Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Young Top-notch Talent of the Ten Thousand Talents Programlaunched by the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. He also won the Lu Jiaxi Young Talent Award of CAS and the Top 100 National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award.He once paid study visits to Harvard University, University of Southern California, University of California, Los Angeles, National University of Singapore, The University of Tokyo, and other research institutions.He has initiated and organized a series of conferences for the "Mathematics, Computer and Life Sciences Interdisciplinary Research Young Scholars Forum".
